One of the first projects that the eighth grade worked on were documentaries. Students chose a topic that they could use to make a one minute documentary or public service announcement. The students then found pictures on their topic, background music for their movie, and wrote a report that they narrated for their movie. The students used Microsoft Movie Maker to make some excellent projects. Click on the link below to see some of their work. All of their projects are excellent!

This year, the 8th grade was able to choose a class on digital photography. The class is learning how to use a digital camera to take all different sorts of pictures. Each week, we discuss an aspect of photography. The class then takes pictures based on the them for the week. Each week right here, I will post one of the great photos that a student has taken and make it the picture of the week. Soon another page will highlight all of the pictures the class has taken.
Coming 3rd and 4th Marking Period
The 8th grade also looked at some Pop Art. They then were to design their own PoP Art using Paint Shop Pro. Students did a great job using the program to come up with their own version of things artsist like Andy Warhol did in the past.
