The WebQuest "The Anasazi and the Search for the Secrets of the Petroglyphs" will be divided into three one-week blocks for preparing and one two-week block for presenting. This will help budget your time and provide adequate time for gathering, researching and constructing an incredible presentation. It is also important that you document all of the group's activities, discussions and decisions.

Week One:
1- Explore the WebQuest and the directions.
2- Create an Exploration Team made up of four members.
3- Select a Research Director.
4- Go to the LOG/JOURNAL REQUIREMENTS page and read the directions and the questions VERY carefully.
5- As a Team, select three items from modern day that you will bring with you. Your Team may only bring three items. All items must fit on your persons.
6- Discuss possible creative ideas that may be used for your final activity and presentation.
7- Have each Team member discuss the importance of dividing jobs and tasks equitably. Who will be doing what tasks?
8- Prepare and create your Log/Journal.

Week Two:
1- Research and Record all findings. Begin your journey back into the past. Using the resources provided on the Resources page, began searching for the answers to the Log/Journal Requirements. Learn as much as you can about the Anasazi culture and their mysterious petroglyphs.
2- As you do your research, begin discussing ideas for your final presentation. Check the Evaluation page to see how you will be graded and what the criteria for this assessment will be. This will help you plan a very successful final presentation.
3- You are not limited to just the information provided on the Resources page. Feel free to utilize the books and art meterials found in the Art Room and in the library.
4- By the end of this week, you must schedule a 10 minute meeting with me to go over your plans.
Remember, this is your responsibility. Dates and times will be posted. Make sure you sign up!

Week Three:
1- Begin completing your Log/Journal. Prepare your project for your final presentations. Gather any materials you will need to construct your projects.
2- Your final presentation must include a completed Log/Journal. You should make sure that you have addressed all the required elements.
3- Ideas for final presentations can include creating: dioramas, maps, diagrams, a class project, a video, a multi-media presentation (like PowerPoint), posters, music, charts, models, storybook, research paper or any thing that your group feels would be beneficial and interesting to the rest of the class.
4- Log/Journals will be displayed at the end of the presentations along with any other creative projects your group has designed to tell us about the Anasazi people.

Weeks Four and Five:
1- Each group will be assigned a presentation date and time. Presentations should be fifteen minutes long. All group members must participate in the Final Presentation.
2- Each group will be evaluated based on the elements listed in the grading table (Rubric) found on the Evaluation page.
3- Each Exploration Team will be evaluated by their peers and by the teacher. Members will also have to fill out an evaluation paper.
4- After the last Presentation, we will have a Reflection session in which this project will be discussed. Comments and ideas will be heard.
5- After all presentations are made, I will compile evaluation sheets for each group to look at and see how their presentations were "graded".

Good Luck and Have Fun!!!!
