District Overview

The Brigantine Public Schools, located adjacent to Atlantic City, in Atlantic County, is a K-8 district comprised of Elementary and Middle School. In 1996, the district proactively designed and built a state-of the-art elementary school to service our 700+ K-4 students. Brigantine North Middle School, which services more than 500 students, is currently being retrofitted to meet the facility and program demands of the 21st Century.

The facility revisions will create a networked connectivity with computers in each classroom and office in the district. In addition, two new science labs as well as a new instructional media center will provide the latest technological support for research and program enrichment.

The Brigantine Board of Education and staff are dedicated to an ideology which embraces the philosophy of excellence in academics and competitive sportsmanship in athletics. The District is committed to providing the best in public education and the opportunity for all students and staff to experience the impact of technology-based innovations as they relate to cutting-edge instructional and administrative support systems.

Brigantine Schools are fully accredited by the Middle States Commission of Colleges and Schools. The district is also fully certified by the state having passed 100% of all monitoring elements.

In addition, the Brigantine School System, in concert with the Brigantine Community Education Recreation Department, offer a full range of community enrichment courses, seminars, trips and recreation activities for Island residents. More than 500 adults participate in these programs each semester.
