Many students have academic difficulties at one time or another in their school career. If these difficulties are ongoing however, and even the best teachers and parents are unable to correct the problem, evaluation by the Child Study Team may be needed.

Who are they ?

• School psychologist
• Learning consultant
• Social worker

What do they do?

• Evaluate (test) students.
• Make recommendations to parents and teachers.
• Provide case management services, if needed. Assists teachers.

Who else is involved and what is an I.E.P. ?

If your child is found to need special education services and if needed, an Individualized Educational Plan is written that includes specific goals and objectives for your child.
