To
protect children from common serious childhood illnesses, the State of New Jersey, like other states, requires a series of immunizations for entry into school at various levels. A child's immunization record is to be presented at the time of school registration. It is the policy of the Brigantine Public School District that all students enrolled in our schools at the beginning of the school year must be in compliance with the New Jersey State Immunization Regulations or they will be excluded from school at the end of the first day of school. The zero day immunization grace period for new or transfer students is instituted and enforced through exclusion from school. Exceptions may be made as determined by the principal in consultation with the school nurse. Implementation adheres to specific vaccine requirements as established by the State of New Jersey.
