Brigantine Public Schools
Open Registration for 2008-2009 Preschool and Kindergarten students
Child MUST turn 4 years of age on or before October 1, 2008 for Preschool OR turn 5 years of age on or before October 1, 2008 for Kindergarten.
Registration is in the North Middle School Admissions Office, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM until 3:00 PM. No screenings will take place at this time therefore, it is not necessary for you to bring your child.
The following documents are REQUIRED for registration:
- Child’s Original Birth Certificate (State copy, NOT Hospital copy)
- Child’s Immunization records
- Proof of Residency
Proof of Residency requested items are:
HOMEOWNER: DEED OR MOST RECENT TAX BILL.
RENTERS: A LEASE, OR A SIGNED LETTER FROM LANDLORD, OR OTHER EVIDENCE OF TENANCY OR RESIDENCY.
RESIDENTS SHARING QUARTERS:
1. OWNER’S DEED OR MOST RECENT TAX BILL
2. NOTARIZED LETTER FROM OWNER, LISTING ALL
3. PROOF OF ADDRESS (DRIVER’S LICENSE, PAYCHECK STUB, UTILITY BILL, ETC.
(ALL THREE DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR SHARED QUARTERS)
Other documents you may want to bring with you are: Physician’s/Doctor’s address and phone number; Emergency Contact information such as addresses and phone numbers.
YOUR CHILD’S REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED COMPLETE WITHOUT ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK.

Parents who suspect that their preschool age child may have special needs can get free help from their local school District’s Child Study Team. Brigantine Public School District is organizing a Child Find Campaign to locate and provide services for those children ages 3 to 5 who may have physical, mental, language or emotional difficulties. Information may be obtained on how and where to obtain services for special children, birth to 3 years of age. For information, please call the Brigantine Child Study Team at 264-9499.
Renters – Current Lease and/or Notarized Letter from Landlord listing all occupants and
other evidence of tenancy.
Other documents you may want to bring with you are:
Child’s Social Security #
Physician’s/Doctor’s address and phone number
Emergency Contact information such as name, address, and phone number
