CREATORS

Traveling TechnoTeddy Bears was created by two of Brigantine Elementary School's special area teachers, Teri Gragg (Art) and Maureen Guenther (Computers).

The Art teacher, Teri Gragg collaborated efforts with the Computer teacher, Maureen Guenther to facilitate a historic art lesson heavily based in technology. Additionally, the teachers enlisted others on the staff to incorporate the theme of Teddy Bears and their creation into their classroom curriculums. The overall project took on a life of its' own as it traveled around their school and eventually, the country.

Mrs. Gragg and Ms. Guenther are award winning BEST PRACTICE recipients. Their "Multicultural Art Digital PowerPoint Portfolios for Young Children" won the BEST PRACTICE of New Jersey for the Visual and Performing Arts 1999-2000. Additionally, they won the ETTC Technology Lesson Plan contest for their division with their Multicultural Art PowerPoint Portfolios.
